Winter Harvest documentary premieres in Paris
The documentary Winter Harvest, produced by Picbois Productions and directed by Amélie Dussault, was screened in Paris in the last few days in the presence of Jean-Martin Fortier and market gardeners Vincent Marcoux (Jardin des Funambules, Eastern Townships) and Erwan Humbert (Ferme des prés neufs, Longpont-sur-Orge, France).
The screenings, organized by the Institut jardinier-maraîcher, took place at the École Du Breuil, the horticultural school of the city of Paris, to packed houses. The discussions that followed the screenings raised many questions about the techniques and philosophy behind winter farming, as well as sparking interest in local vegetable distribution networks, shared in France and Quebec.
Broadcast on Télé-Québec last January, the film is now available for free catch-up viewing on video.telequebec.tv and on the Télé-Québec app.
