The documentary film “Right to Choose” is on tour on the Côte-Nord from October 7 to 14

On this International Day for the Right to Abortion, Picbois Productions and the Regroupement des Femmes de la Côte-Nord are pleased to announce a screening tour of the documentary film Right to Choose on the Côte-Nord from October 7 to 14, 2026. The initiative aims to inform and raise awareness among the public about reproductive choice and to combat misinformation.
Right to Choose, winner of the 2025 Prix Gémeaux for Best Documentary: Health, Nature, Science, and Environment, delves into the reality of frontline workers who defend the right to abortion, offering unprecedented access. The documentary follows the work of doctors and nurses in clinics, as well as an expert who observes the rise of the anti-abortion movement by going out into the field. Their stories are accompanied by powerful testimonies from women who have undergone pregnancy terminations.

*The screenings will be followed by a discussion with Véronique Pronovost, a researcher at the Raoul-Dandurand Chair at UQAM who specializes in anti-abortion movements.
These screenings are open to everyone, and no reservation is required to attend.
Seeking teachers and community leaders from the Côte-Nord to host screenings in schools
A few time slots are still available for screenings in schools across the region, with Véronique Pronovost in attendance to speak with students. Requests can be submitted at libresdechoisir.com
The tour is an initiative led by Picbois Productions, in collaboration with the Regroupement des Femmes de la Côte-Nord (RFCN). The tour will also provide an opportunity for the RFCN to present the “À moi de choisir Côte-Nord” initiative, a regional information website on unplanned pregnancies and pregnancy terminations.
