The feature film “Gerald Bull: Truth Is a Weapon” is in production
Director Mathieu Fournier (James Bay 1975: The Shock of Two Nations, Star Wars Kid: The Rise of the Digital Shadows is beginning production on Gerald Bull: Truth Is a Weapon, a documentary that revisits the controversial fate of this Canadian engineer who was assassinated in March 1990. A tragic end for a renowned researcher whose genius was celebrated before he was condemned for selling weapons to a country under embargo. Produced by Picbois Productions and airing on Historia, the feature-length film received financial support from the Canada Media Fund, SODEC, and the Rogers Fund, in addition to benefiting from the Quebecor Fund’s export assistance program.

Gerald Bull’s family has agreed to share their side of the story by granting us access to previously unseen archival material. Through the testimonies of his loved ones, journalists, and experts, director Mathieu Fournier offers a new perspective on Bull’s life story and the military industry.
In development since 2023, production on the film has now begun. The film is scheduled for release in 2028.
