Picbois Productions and Rezolution Pictures join forces to produce a NEW historical thriller

Co-producers Picbois Productions and Rezolution Pictures are excited to announce the confirmation of production financing from SODEC. Scripted and directed by Myriam Berthelet, Mathieu Fournier and Mélanie Lameboy, the film traces two major revolutions: the rise of a Quebec nationalism betting on hydroelectricity with the construction of La Grande complex under the impetus of Robert Bourassa, and the militant awakening of the aboriginal peoples of Northern Quebec, who will be propelled into a legal saga to defend their territory, their culture and their people.

The film will be broadcast on Historia and APTN in the fall of 2025, to mark the 50th anniversary of the signing of the James Bay Agreement.

The documentary is produced with the financial participation of the Canada Media Fund, the Société de développement des entreprises culturelles (SODEC), the Aboriginal Screen Bureau, the Rogers Documentary Fund, the Film and Television Tax Credit (Gestion SODEC), the Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit, as well as Historia and APTN.
