Alone: Opening film of the 35th edition of the FICFA

Picbois Productions is proud to present Alone, the first feature-length documentary directed by Paul Tom (Baggage), opening the 35th edition of the Festival international de cinéma francophone en Acadie (FICFA). The screening will take place on Thursday, November 11 at 8pm at Théâtre l’Escaouette in Moncton, in the presence of director Paul Tom, one of the protagonists Alain, screenwriters Julie Boisvert and Mylène Péthel, and producers Marie-Pierre Corriveau and Karine Dubois.

The film, written by Julie Boisvert, Mylène Péthel and Paul Tom, follows Afshin, Alain and Patricia, who fled their country without their parents when they were just children. They found the strength to rebuild their lives here in Canada, in the hope of a better future.

Produced and distributed by Picbois Productions, Alone will open in Quebec on November 12, with a number of ciné-rencontres organized in the presence of the film crew. The documentary will then be broadcast on Télé-Québec on December 1.
