Picbois Productions shines at Input Barcelona with Alone and Decolonizing History

Two documentary productions by Picbois Productions were presented at the INPUT international conference in Barcelona last week. The feature film Alone and the series Decolonizing History, broadcast on Télé-Québec, were among the three Quebec productions selected for the event.

INPUT is a non-profit organization that annually brings together producers and public broadcasters to discuss public television and its challenges. The 2022 edition was held under the theme “Storytelling in the public interest”, and featured productions considered bold and courageous.

Producers Karine Dubois and Marie-Pierre Corriveau, and directors Paul Tom (Alone) and Ky Vy Le Duc (Decolonizing History) were present at the event.

We were surprised to see how much the international representatives were touched by our projects. Alone and Decolonizing History continue to shine locally and internationally, garnering festival selections and awards. Alone was a finalist for the Iris award for Best Documentary at the Gala Québec Cinéma 2022, and Decolonizing History has received numerous accolades since its release (Grand Prix for Short Series – Courts d’un soir, Peace Medal – YMCA du Québec, Gold Award and Social Impact Award – DC Web Fest).
