Mirror Mirror: Alice Morel-Michaud’s frank and authentic research is now available on Radio-Canada OHdio
Picbois Productions and Radio-Canada OHdio are pleased to present the podcast Mirror Mirror, directed by Marie-Pier Dupuis and starring Alice Morel-Michaud, available now exclusively on the Radio-Canada OHdio platform.
An actress since childhood, Alice Morel-Michaud became a woman in the public eye, and in 2020, she refused to talk about her weight gain on a TV set when asked about it. Her action earned her a Mammoth Award from Quebec youth, who praised her courage in speaking out.
In the 6-episode podcast Mirror Mirror, she boldly and authentically tackles topics such as beauty standards, gym culture and diet trends. She chats with experts and public personalities such as comedian Tommy Néron, her actor friends Anthony Therrien and Karl-Antoine Surprise, and influencer Lysandre Nadeau.
“Going beyond the mirror allowed me to learn a lot about what makes up our relationship with appearance. I wanted to understand, beyond my own experience: what shapes our perception of ourselves and others?” – Alice Morel-Michaud, host
“You’ll discover an authentic and humorous Alice, who opens an intimate and privileged door on her past, her thoughts, but also on personal and collective vulnerabilities related to body image.” – Marie-Pier Dupuis, director
