Breaking the Code – Film

Discrimination / Racism / Identity / Dialogue

Breaking the Code reveals how BIPOC people have come to adopt attitudes and behaviors to blend in with the Quebec majority without disturbing it. To avoid being discriminated against, they consciously or unconsciously adopt this code, which ends up being a heavy burden to bear. By following Fabrice Vil, Sonia Djelidi, André Ho and Alexandre Vollant, we become aware of the code that has prevented them from living their identity to the full, and seek to break it in order to speak frankly about the issues surrounding racism and open up a dialogue.
