Traffic: A disturbing Web documentary on the sexual exploitation of young girls, from March 19 on telequebec.tv

Picbois Productions and Télé-Québec are proud to present Traffic, a hard-hitting documentary project directed by Catherine Proulx (De garde 24/7, Justice), in collaboration with Arnaud Bouquet and produced by Karine Dubois. In three portraits, three documentary vignettes and a six-episode podcast, Traffic investigates the sexual exploitation of young girls, addressing those who contribute to it. Traffic will be available from Tuesday March 19 on trafic.telequebec.tv. New episodes will go online on Tuesday March 26 and Tuesday April 2.
Traffic tells the story of a filmmaker’s quest to understand the inner workings of the sexual exploitation of young girls in Montreal. Thanks to privileged access, she interviews pimps, police officers, social workers and victims of the sexual exploitation of young girls. But one question quickly emerges: this entire industry exists to meet the needs of the client. Who is this customer, and what is he looking for? Can she get him to talk? This quest is presented to the public in three parts:
Three portraits based on confidential interviews between a director and three interlocutors: a former victim of sexual exploitation, a former pimp and a client. (Director: Catherine Proulx)
Three documentary vignettes featuring the viewpoints of experts and practitioners in the field (Director: Arnaud Bouquet).
A six-episode investigative podcast in which the director follows in the footsteps of the juvenile prostitution client to better understand the man for whom the industry exists (Directed by Catherine Proulx).
