9/11 and me: A docu-variety by Picbois Productions to mark the 20th anniversary of September 11, 2001

Picbois Productions is proud to confirm the production of 9/11 and me following the positive response from the Bell Fund, which announced its decisions on Thursday. The series, which will be broadcast on Télé-Québec’s digital platforms (telequebec.tv), takes a fresh look at the events of September 11, 2001 through a new hybrid genre: the “docu-variety”.

Hosted by Nicolas Ouellet, the series will give the floor to artists Rahmane Belkebiche (Révolution), Mehdi Bousaidan, Chafiik (Loco Locass), Safia Nolin, Elkahna Talbi (Queen Ka) and Ines Talbi, who will recount how the event affected them both personally and creatively.

In an intimate atmosphere, the artists will recount their “before” and “after” experiences of September 11, with performances of humor, song, music, spoken word and dance related to the event. Through them, the public will be able to discover first-hand the impact of September 11, 2001 on an entire generation, particularly children of Arab origin.
