From the big screen to the small: Paul Tom’s Alone on Télé-Québec December 1

Télé-Québec and Picbois Productions are proud to present Alone, the first feature-length documentary directed by Paul Tom (Baggage) and written by Julie Boisvert, Mylène Péthel and Paul Tom. It will be broadcast on Wednesday, December 1 at 8 p.m. on Télé-Québec, and rebroadcast on several dates in December and January. It will also be available for catch-up viewing on telequebec.tv and on the Télé-Québec app.

Scared for their lives, Afshin, Alain and Patricia fled their country, without their parents, when they were just children. They had to start all over again here in Canada, in the hope of a better life. Blending live action and animation, Alone is a film of hope: how does a child manage to rebuild his life in a new country, when he has left everything behind?

Sold out at the opening of the 35th Festival international de cinéma francophone en Acadie (FICFA) and at the Rencontres internationales du documentaire de Montréal (RIDM), Seuls is playing for a 2nd week at Cinéma Beaubien in Montreal and Cinéma Le Clap Ste-Foy in Quebec City. Special screenings will take place in various Quebec cities, followed by discussions with the film’s team.
