Chacun sa classe: The impact of secondary school choice in a three-tier system
Picbois Productions and Radio-Canada OHdio are proud to present the documentary podcast Chacun sa classe, directed by Christine Chevarie, from an original idea by Picbois founder Karine Dubois, who narrates and produces with Marie-Pierre Corriveau. The series tackles the dilemma of high school choice for parents, and the repercussions of this individual choice on our system. In five 25-minute episodes, Karine Dubois takes us on a quest that stems directly from her own questions as a mother. Chacun sa classe is available exclusively on the Radio-Canada OHdio platform, starting today.
Private schools, public school programs, regular programs: the podcast investigates how Quebecers have come to accept that the secondary education system doesn’t offer the same opportunities to all students. It looks at the stress that the high school admission period generates for families, and raises the question: how much power do parents really have in the face of this situation?
